Uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage are optional in Pennsylvania. If you buy them, stacked coverage applies by law unless you reject it in writing.

Pennsylvania calls its first-party coverage "medical benefits". It pays medical bills for you and others on your policy regardless of fault, and it is mandatory, not optional.
